Noel and I travelled to Horsham in Victoria to paticipate in a batik workshop that was one of many different workshops offered at the Horsham Textile Regional Forum.
We were able to stay with our daughter Tahirih and her partner Nick who live on the campus of Longerenong College where Horsham Textile was held over a week at Easter.
The tutor for our batik workshop was Mary Edna Fraser who lives in South Carolina USA and specializes in aerial views for the subject matter of the batiks she produces on silk.
We had a wonderful week with Mary Edna . She is a very generous teacher and I am sure that each of the participants learnt a great deal about batik during the week. It was a great group of people and we had loads of fun working together.
