We travelled on to Wynyard to visit a very good friend, Lexie Williams who for many years lived with her husband Harry and their family on a farm across the road from my parents at West Ridgley. Lexie was always a wonderful friend to my mother. They were both very active members of the Country Women's Association. Lexie still does a lot of knitting and crochet work. She showed us a beautiful, multi coloured rug that she had recently completed. The design is very intricate and one that we had not see before.
