We always like to introduce friends to Daniel Flatauer when we visit Safed. Daniel has lived and worked in Israel since the 70s. He makes functional table and kitchen ware. He experiments with different glazes and produces beautiful pieces. He has an interesting blog where you can learn quite a lot about his life and work (see my list of Sites to Explore).
