Today, Noel and I accompanied a group of friends on a quick tour of many of the Christian Holy places that are located near lake Kinneret (Sea of Galilee).
Our first stop was the Museum of Galilee which is at Ginosar Kibbutz. This is an excellent museum that holds interesting historical items and photographs about the Galilee area. Our main focus today was to see the 'Jesus boat' that was discovered, rescued and conserved when the water level in the lake fell to such an extent that the remains of the ancient boat became visible. At the museum it is possible to see a movie that tells the whole story of the process. It is a fascinating story. One could easily spend several hours at this museum.
