This lookout is like a window into the heart of the Tarkine Forest. From the elevated lookout the view is across open buttongrass moorlands. In the distance are the ancient Norfolk Ranges. The moorlands are inhabited by numerous species of threatened flora including the beautiful flowering Epacris curtiseae which grows around the lookout area.
