Noel and I went for a walk in the area near St Paul's, then we followed the walkway along the Thames, until we reached the Monument. We enjoyed photographing interesting pieces of sculpture as well as architectural details. We looked across the river to see Tate Modern as well as Shakespeare's Globe Theatre. We have visited both on a previous visit but we could not fit them in this time.
When we arrived at the Monument, a group of people were setting up to shoot some scenes for a movie ( or maybe TV). We watched for awhile as they prepared the actors and set up the scene. Some of the cameras were perched on the top floor of an adjacent building.
As we had arranged to meet Mark and Carol before dinner, we could not stay to watch the action.
