We travelled north from Banbridge to visit Lough Neagh and Oxford Island. At 400 sq km, the lake is the largest in Britain. Most of it is bordered by sedgy marshland. Oxford Island, where the discovery centre is located is actually a peninsular. We spent time looking at the exhibitions before taking a walk around some of the trails and watching the water birds from the many bird lookouts that have been constructed around the Island.
