Trish very kindly offered to drive us over the Federation Bridge to Prince Edward Island. It was a beautiful day and we could clearly see the island from New Brunswick. It is certainly the longest bridge I had ever seen. I had always hoped to be able to visit PEI one day ... ever since I had read the 'Anne' books by L.M. Montgomery in the 1950s ... so my dream was about to become a reality. Our first stop on reaching the island was to visit Trish's parents who were holidaying at the Marco Polo Camp at Camden with some relatives from Engand.
