Off to Surrey

We rose quite early as we needed to get to Heathrow to collect the hire car we had booked with Europcar. After breakfast, we finished our packing, checked out of the hotel and hailed down a Londn taxi on Kings Cross Road. we took the taxi to Paddington where we caught the Express to Terminal 1 at Heathrow. We found our way to the arrivals desk to ask for directions to get the courtesy vehicle that transports passengers to the Europcar Office which is quite a way from Terminal 1. the guy at the desk wanted to issue us with a car, but we objected to the model he wanted to assign to us - so he very quickly bundled us off (thankfully) to the coutesy car. when we arrived at the Office there was a lineup but it was worth the wait as the young woman who served us was very nice and very well organised. In no time we had the papers filled out and the car was assigned. she upgraded us to an airconditioned vehicle. It was a scenic style so we were soon heading off to Leatherhead in Surrey.
