A visit to the apartment of 'Abdu'l-Baha in Paris

We began the day with a visit to the apartment of 'Abdu'l-Baha. I had arranged for this special visit before we departed from Haifa as the visits are only possible by prior arrangement on a Saturday morning . We followed instructions to meet the guide at 10 am at the Metro Trocadero exit to the Musee de l'Homme. We arrived a few minutes early and discovered that the Plaza adjacent to the Musee provides an amazing panoramic view across to the Eiffel Tower. While we were waiting for our guide, many tour buses arrived full of sighseers. We returned to the Trocadero Metro entrance where we were soon joined by another couple from the USA followed soon after by another visitor. After the guide arrived, we were taken for a walk through a small park where 'Abdu'l-Baha enjoyed walking during his visits to Paris. The garden is quite close to the apartment. It was a wonderful visit and we were provided with very interesting details by our guide who lives in the adjacent servants quarters with his wife and two small boys. after the visit, we were provided with light refreshments and we then signed the visitor's book before our departure.
