Fundy National Park

Fundy National Park boasts the highest tides in the world. After we had spent time at the Hopewell rocks we decided to spend a few hours hiking in the forest. We actually walked for 7.3 kms down into the Broad River and then we followed the river along until we found some beautiful falls called the Laverty Falls. After that, we followed a trail that led us up quite steep stretches out of the valley and back to the car park. We enjoyed walking through the hardwood forest and observing the interesting plant life and beautiful rock formations in the river bed.

After our big day out we stopped off at the fishing village of Alma ,which is located near the forestlands of the national Park, and enjoyed a delicious meal of fish before returning to Moncton.
