We arrive in Chicago and are met by Pat Y

We were delighted to be met at the airport by the delightful Pat Yackanich. We had not met Pat before but we belong to a wonderful Yahoo group called UKPaperArts. It is the best internet group I belong to. The members are so generous with their helpful ideas and encouragement about all kinds of things apart from paper arts. When Pat knew that we were planning to visit Chicago, she offered to meet us and to have us stay at her home. As well she sent us a beautiful travel book with all the best information about where to go and what to see in Chicago. What a generous and warm hearted person!
We accepted her hospitality for the first night and then she offered to drop us off at a downtown hotel in Chicago next day so that we would be near most of the Museums and Art Galleries.

Pat, her husband Peter and daughter Cameron made us feel so very welcome. They prepared a delicious meal for us. I have never eaten such melt-in-your-mouth steaks! Then we had fabulous cakes and sweets to follow. What a meal!
