We arrive in Brighton

We returned to the Harrison house and had a cool drink before packing our things, saying farewell and thank you to the Harrison family and setting off for Brighton. After a little more than an hour, we were in Brighton and as soon as we were orhanised into our hotel room at the Travelodge in Preston Road, we phoned our friend Alison Rofe and arranged to met up with her and to have an evening meal in the city. Alison walked around to meet us and then we took a bus from a nearby bus stop into the city. we walked to a pub that specialises in vegetarian meals and had something to eat before exploring the area of Brighton known as 'The Lanes' where there are lots of small antique shops, cafes, book shops, gift shops etc. According to alison, these lanes were the original streets of the village on Brighthelmstone. We also walked therough a garden that is adjacent to the famous Royal Pavilion that we plan to visit on our final morning in Brighton.
