We visit Win Trollope in Kinver

We used a google.com.uk map to find Win's home. As we approached Kinver, we were surprised to find ourselves on a country lane crossing a very narrow bridge - it was something like one would imagine Alice going down the rabbit hole really! We discovered in a later conversation with Win's daughter -in -law, Margaret, who visited specially to provide us with afternoon tea, that this is the route commonly provided on internet maps for visitors to access Kinver. However, it is not used by local Kinver folk as it IS just a small country lane rather than a major access road. In any case we easily found Win's house, thanks to the Google directions. We stayed with Win for a couple of hours and caught up with lots of news on both sides. We had met Win and her daughter who lives in Canada, on a trip to France 8 years ago. We have kept in touch ever since so it was great to spend time with her. We then headed for Shrewesbury where we had booked in to a Travelodge motel ready for an early start to visit a couple of sites in Wales the next day
