Paris

The focus for our first day in Paris this trip comprised of a visit to a church, a beautiful garden and art exhibition and a gallery. To begin, we made our way by Metro to St Sulpice, a church that features in the Dan Brown novel 'The Da Vinci Code'. It is a large and imposing structire with huge arched windows. Inside, I spent tme looking at two murals by E. Delacroix that are to be found to the right of the main entrance. 'Jacob Wrestling with the Angel' and 'Heliodorus Driven from the Temple'. There is also a huge organ directly above the main entrance. There is a fascinating, complex structure that is designed to align with the sun at equinoxes.
